Though FXS occurs in both genders, males are more frequently affected than females, and generally with greater severity. Life expectancy is not affected in people with FXS because there are usually no life-threatening health concerns associated with the condition.<\/p><p>Tony &amp; Shelli have a special place in their heart for this foundation and the work they do. Their Godson, Trek was diagnosed with Fragile X. Though Trek is a complete blessing to all who have the pleasure of meeting him, it has not always been easy for his parents.
