National Fragile X Foundation

Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is a genetic condition that causes intellectual disability, behavioral and learning challenges and various physical characteristics. Though FXS occurs in both genders, males are more frequently affected than females, and generally with greater severity. Life expectancy is not affected in people with FXS because there are usually no life-threatening health concerns associated with the condition.

Tony & Shelli have a special place in their heart for this foundation and the work they do. Their Godson, Trek was diagnosed with Fragile X. Though Trek is a complete blessing to all who have the pleasure of meeting him, it has not always been easy for his parents. The Fragile X Foundation has been a Godsend for them, as well as Trek. We love you Trek!

Faith Community Lutheran Church and Schools

Faith Community is located in Summerlin, but their ministry touches lives in Las Vegas and throughout the world. They invite you to join them on their mission of “inviting people to know Jesus” as they REJOICE in worship to His goodness and grace, as they RELATE to Him and one another in Bible Study and Prayer, and as we RESPOND with grateful hearts to His forgiveness and salvation through our outreach and missions.

Their outreach starts locally, with organizations like The Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Women’s Resource Medical Center, and the Walter Having Home. Faith Community Lutheran Church and Schools also transforms hearts and builds God’s Kingdom with their missions in Cambodia, Dominican Republic, and Liberia.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), founded in 1949, is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS created the Information Resource Center (IRC) to provide blood cancer patients, their families and health professionals accurate, current disease information and support. LLS has 64 chapters in the United States, as well as five chapters in Canada (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada). Nationwide volunteer fundraising events and activities include Team in Training (an endurance sports training program where volunteers train to complete an endurance sports event while fundraising to support the fight against blood cancers), Light The Night Walk (a community-based walk that celebrates patients battling cancer, their families and supporters), and Student Series (K-12 student service learning program to raise awareness and funds to fight blood cancer). Each chapter also organizes its own fundraising activities.
